No signs of spaceship exhaust, no dropped extraterrestrial items like a phaser, or galactic map, nothing other than human involvement. But they are beautiful pieces of art.

 Sponsor | carouselle | May 24, 2007 10:51am | I agree with #4 and #5. Something I find truly interesting and amazing is the artists choose to remain a mystery. That is so against human nature not to want to take credit for your work.
Concerning extraterrestrials, when I see pictures of our galaxy and beyond and how infinitely small our planet really is in the sea of space, it's very hard for me to even imagine being found by others. It would be something like finding a specific grain of sand on a beach the size of the Pacific Ocean. Or maybe, I just lack imagination. *shrug* |

The odds are tiny that we'd ever be visited due to those limitations: the vast distances between stars, speed of light limit, hyper advanced physics to somehow traverse those distances, the vast resources required to make that journey, etc. And then, after all that, to only flatten some grass and not even reveal themselves? Um, no, I'm not buying. |
